Software for mud engineers

HydroBorex

Drilling Fluids & Hydraulics Suite

Daily mud reports, hydraulics, solids analysis, pit volumes, inventory and cost in one Windows application — built to work at the rig without a permanent internet connection.

Windows desktop application · Interface in Azerbaijani, English and Russian

Everything a mud engineer needs in one place

HydroBorex follows the daily work of a drilling fluids engineer: from well data and mud checks to hydraulics, reports and the end-of-well recap.

Works offline at the rig

All calculations and reports run locally. An internet connection is needed only for a short periodic licence check.

Daily mud reports

Mud properties, treatments, volumes, products used and remarks — collected into a clear daily report.

Hydraulics

Rheology models, ECD, annular hydraulics, bit hydraulics and pressure losses across the circulating system.

Solids analysis

Solids analysis for water-based and oil-based muds: low- and high-gravity solids, weighting material and oil/water ratios.

Pit volumes & inventory

Active and reserve pits, hole and string volumes, product receipts, usage and stock on location.

Cost tracking

Daily and cumulative cost of products and services for every well and interval.

Recap & well comparison

End-of-well recap with tables and charts, and side-by-side comparison of several wells.

Excel, PDF and WITSML

Reports to PDF and Excel; data exchange in WITSML 1.3.1 and 1.4.1.

US / SI units, three languages

Switch between US oilfield and SI units. The interface is available in Azerbaijani, English and Russian.

Your own well files

Each well is stored in its own HydroBorex file on your computer. Your data stays with you.

Encrypted cloud backup

Optional encrypted backup to our server — only with the customer's explicit consent.

Flexible term licences

Licences for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months — convenient for companies that drill only a few wells a year.

Based on industry-standard methods

Hydraulics calculations are based on the formulas of API RP 13D (rheology and hydraulics of oil-well drilling fluids). Field test data entry and solids calculations follow the procedures of API RP 13B (field testing of water-based and oil-based drilling fluids).

HydroBorex uses these published methods; the software is not certified or endorsed by API.

Who it is for

Mud engineers

One tool for the daily report, hydraulics and volumes — at the rig, with or without internet.

Drilling fluids companies

Consistent reports across engineers and wells, product and cost tracking, recaps for the client.

Operators

Transparent mud data, hydraulics and cost per well, and comparison between wells.
